Description:
Allied Health I is designed
to introduce students to the career opportunities available
in health related fields. Upon completion of the two-year
program, the student will be competent as a general basic
health assistant and will be better able to make career choices.
Allied Health I provides introduction to the many health care
fields and teaches basic health related skills that are required
for many health occupations. This program is open to any student
who has a genuine interest in any health care or medical field.
Allied Health may be counted as a high school science to meet
graduation requirements.
Prerequisites:
A background in basic science
and biology is recommended.
Special Test
or Course Requirement:
Student participation in
Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) is encouraged.
