Description:

This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of Modern Biology. Topics include: biochemistry, the cell, genetics, classification of living organisms, plant and animal life, body systems, and ecology. A laboratory component will allow the student to directly study living organisms and practice the process of observation, classification, and appropriate lab technique.

Prerequisites:

B average or higher in eighth grade science or instructor recommendation to take as a ninth grader.
