Mac's Fresh Market Foods

Mac’s Fresh Market Foods at School Street on Hwy 51 has begun a community Partners Program. Each time you shop there, you will be given one stamp for every $5 you spend. These stamps can be affixed to Madison Central’s card, which will be kept at Mac’s. Once the card is filled with stamps Mac’s will issue MC a check. Your participation in this program will help us buy needed equipment and supplies for our classroom. Thanks for your support.
 



 

  

Chemistry (Advanced Placement) — Science

Description:

The AP Chemistry course is designed to be the equivalent of the general chemistry course usually taken during the first college year. Topics of study include, but are not limited to, Structure of matter (atomic theory, atomic structure, chemical bonding, nuclear chemistry), States of Matter (gases, liquids, solids, solutions), Reactions (acid-base, redox, precipitation, stoichiometry, equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics), and Descriptive Chemistry. 22 laboratory experiments have been recommended for the AP Chemistry program by the College board, and laboratory work may require students to attend class before/after school.

Prerequisites:

Chemistry I

Special Test or Course Requirement:

Students are expected to take the AP Chemistry Exam in May.

Outside Costs:

$20 lab fee, AP exam fee
