Mac's Fresh Market Foods
Mac’s Fresh Market Foods at School Street on Hwy 51 has begun a community Partners Program. Each time you shop there, you will be given one stamp for every $5 you spend. These stamps can be affixed to Madison Central’s card, which will be kept at Mac’s. Once the card is filled with stamps Mac’s will issue MC a check. Your participation in this program will help us buy needed equipment and supplies for our classroom. Thanks for your support.

Dear Parent or Guardian:
This week we are studying the character trait of diligence.
The definition of diligence is: |
|
devoted and painstaking effort to accomplish what
is undertaken. |
Diligence helps us achieve many things—job promotions, down payments,
and education. In fact, it is through diligence that we achieve some of
the most meaningful accomplishments in our lives. Diligence takes time
and patience, and our young people may often feel short on both those
resources. We can aid them in the pursuit and practice of diligence by
remaining involved in their hopes, dreams, and goals.
If you would like to help reinforce our study of diligence this week,
here are some suggestions for you and your teenager to work on together:
| |
Discuss a success in your life that would not have
occurred if you had not been diligent. Share your feelings about
the patience required to have diligence. |
| |
Help your son or daughter map out a strategy to use
diligence to realize a goal. Use poster board and markers to illustrate
the strategy he or she chooses. |
| |
Review with your youth all of those accomplishments
that he or she has achieved through the use of diligence. Use images
representative of those events to create a collage to remind him
or her of how diligence has paid off. |
"Few things are impossible to diligence and skill . . .
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance."
—Samual Johnson
Sincerely,
Madison Central Faculty
