Mac's Fresh Market Foods
Mac’s Fresh Market Foods at School Street on Hwy 51 has begun a community Partners Program. Each time you shop there, you will be given one stamp for every $5 you spend. These stamps can be affixed to Madison Central’s card, which will be kept at Mac’s. Once the card is filled with stamps Mac’s will issue MC a check. Your participation in this program will help us buy needed equipment and supplies for our classroom. Thanks for your support.

Dear Parent or Guardian:
This week we are studying the character trait of honesty.
The definition of honesty is: |
|
truthful and fair conduct. |
The trick of teaching our sons and daughters to be honest people in all
aspects of their lives starts with the simple things. We have all learned
that our youngsters do what they see us do instead of what we tell them
to do. Remember that for our children to understand a life lesson such
as honesty, it is especially important if they see it in action in their
lives.
Here are a few helpful tips and suggestions for reinforcing the concept
of honesty at home:
|
|
Provide a reward when you catch your student being
good. |
|
|
Talk to your youngster about situations that have
been trying for you. For instance, times when the truth might have
hurt and how you dealt with it. It is easier for your son or daughter
to deal with situations if he or she knows we have dealt with them
as well. |
|
|
If you are in the store and the cashier gives you
the incorrect change, either too much or too little, straighten
the situation out and explain that what is most important to you
would be knowing you were honest. |
"Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom."
