Mac's Fresh Market Foods
Mac’s Fresh Market Foods at School Street on Hwy 51 has begun a community Partners Program. Each time you shop there, you will be given one stamp for every $5 you spend. These stamps can be affixed to Madison Central’s card, which will be kept at Mac’s. Once the card is filled with stamps Mac’s will issue MC a check. Your participation in this program will help us buy needed equipment and supplies for our classroom. Thanks for your support.

Dear Parent or Guardian:
This week we are studying the character trait of integrity.
Definitions of integrity include: |
|
steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical
code; moral soundness; and freedom from corrupting influence or
motive. |
Integrity is the hallmark of a person. We build or reputations at work
on our integrity, just as our children build their reputations as students
on theirs. Sometimes sticking to your principles puts youngsters in the
position of making a disagreeable decision. When this happens, it is important
to share your experiences and decision-making process with your young
person.
To help reinforce our learning this week, here are some suggestions for
activities you can do with your son or daughter:
| |
Tell your student about a person you know who has
integrity. Share the actions that you have observed that prove this
person's integrity. Ask your student to talk about someone that
he or she knows who has integrity and to share the evidence that
he or she has seen of this person's integrity. |
| |
Watch the news or read the newspaper together and
choose a person in the news to focus on. With your youth, list all
of the recent actions of this person and discuss whether or not
you believe him or her to be a person of integrity. |
| |
Discuss a time in your life when your integrity was
tested. Tell your teenager about the test and how you overcame this
difficult time. |
"Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching"
