Mac's Fresh Market Foods
Mac’s Fresh Market Foods at School Street on Hwy 51 has begun a community Partners Program. Each time you shop there, you will be given one stamp for every $5 you spend. These stamps can be affixed to Madison Central’s card, which will be kept at Mac’s. Once the card is filled with stamps Mac’s will issue MC a check. Your participation in this program will help us buy needed equipment and supplies for our classroom. Thanks for your support.

Dear Parent or Guardian:
This week we are studying the character trait of respect.
The definition of respect is: |
|
having an attitude of deference, admiration, esteem,
or high regard. |
As we work to prepare our students for life, we strive to promote good
citizenship. We all hope that along with a variety of academic pursuits,
each student will also develop a solid foundation for his or her character.
In big and small ways, respect for self and others is a crucial part of
this foundation.
We hope that you will join us this week in exploring respect as an imperative
part of life. The following are ways to encourage your son or daughter
to show respect for self, for others, for property, and for all living
things:
| |
Explain how respect and disrespect have made a difference
in your life. Describe to your youngster how such incidents impacted
you, your family, or your friends. |
| |
Watch TV programs or movies for examples of how
respect can change things for the better, both for the person who
is showing respect and the person who is receiving respect. |
| |
Help your youngster recognize and identify disrespect
and the adverse effects it has. Use your discussions as a means
to explore ways in which he or she can show respect in everyday
situations. |
"The true measure of an individual is how he treats a person
who can do him absolutely no good."
—Ann Landers
Sincerely,
